What did I do? Nothing.
How did I act? I didn’t act. I just turned my back as if nothing is happening.
Why didn’t I act? I don’t know. Because of fear, because of anger, because of carelessness, or because of helplessness. I don’t have an exact answer to this.
Bullying is one horrible hidden thing. It takes place in front of us, still, we don’t see it. We do it on purpose. I mean we don’t see it on purpose. And what do we do? Nothing. We remain silent or we move out of the whole situation to stop witnessing what is happening in real life. By the Lebanese way, we say that we turn our “deafened ear”.
The above is part of one sad real story. It still has a sequel, a continuation. The author is telling about an actual experience. An incident that every one of us has encountered.
